Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate mechanical test frames (static or hydraulic) and report core material testing data (UTS, YS, Modulus) or operate characterization instruments (SDT, TGA, TMA, DMA, DSC, FTIR, SEM) and report data
  • •Perform mechanical testing (tensile, fatigue, compression) with metals, polymers, or composites or conduct corresponding characterization work (thermal testing, imaging)
  • •Support maintenance and calibration of lab instrumentation
  • •Summarize data and document results, providing basic interpretation and flag off-nominal results for engineering review
  • •Maintain safe, clean, and organized lab operations and participate in 5S initiatives to sustain a tidy workspace

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • •1+ years of hands-on materials testing experience in a laboratory setting
  • •Experience with thermal instruments (TGA, DMA, DSC, etc.)
  • •Experience with mechanical test frames (Instron, MTS, etc.)
  • •Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Atlassian JIRA
