Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform preventive maintenance and upgrading of pipeline and pipeline facilities as part of a crew and respond to emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
  • •Carry out general construction duties including installing sleeves, clamps, or clock springs on pipeline anomalies and assisting with pipe and equipment relocations.
  • •Perform hot tapping and related tasks including setting/removing plugs from TORs, cold cutting, coating repairs, and monitoring atmospheric conditions with a calibrated air monitor.
  • •Manually excavate trenches or pot holes as needed, operate hand tools and heavy equipment when required, and support line crossings and standbys.
  • •Maintain safety and documentation requirements, including completing required pipeline inspection and repair reports (PIRR/PIPR) and following procedures for confined spaces and company log books.
