Key Responsibilities

  • •Work with Pricing Managers to manage the book of Bulk Purchase Annuity transactions.
  • •Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on data cleanses, including GMP equalisation implementation and transition to buyout.
  • •Lead production of cash flow and pricing models for BPAs, ensuring robust controls and processes.
  • •Navigate complexities and non-standard requests to drive solution thinking.
  • •Coach and train junior team members and lead project management to meet contractual requirements and timescales.

Key Requirements

  • •Be a nearly qualified Actuary.
  • •Practical experience of actuarial cash flow modelling, including bespoke projects and assumption setting.
  • •Strong technical knowledge of defined benefit pensions, including GMP benefits, franking, and deferred member benefit calculations.
  • •An appreciation of the financial services regulatory environment, including Solvency II and the Matching Adjustment.
  • •Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
