Job Summary

Operate a variety of heavy equipment for asphalt heavy highway construction, safely and efficiently to meet production goals. Perform daily inspections, lubrication, cleaning, and preventative maintenance to keep equipment operational. Guide placement of equipment, spotters, and trucks to complete tasks, check grades/yields and communicate QC results, and use 3D automated machine controls where required. Maintain site housekeeping and follow all safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate equipment including motor graders, excavators, front end loaders, rubber-tire backhoes, and dozers.
•Perform proper daily inspections, lubrication, cleaning, and preventative maintenance on all equipment.

•Check grades and yields and communicate QC smoothness and densities.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 3 years of experience in the road or construction field, working outdoors in extreme weather.
•Ability to read, understand, and write simple sentences, and perform simple mathematical equations.
•Must be able to pass Required DISA testing.
•Must have a valid TWIC card and Basic Plus required.
•Experience operating at least three asphalt equipment pieces (e.g., paver screed, motor grader, front end loader, rubber-tire backhoe, excavator, dozer).
