Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and manage a high-performing team of engineers focused on microprocessor physical design implementation and signoff.
  • •Provide technical leadership across full chip floor planning, CTS, placement and optimization, routing, parasitic extraction, STA, IR/EM analysis, physical verification, and final signoff.
  • •Apply deep physical design knowledge to deliver high-quality, on-time results for large, challenging, leading-edge CPU core designs.
  • •Collaborate closely with RTL teams to continuously enhance PPA metrics.
  • •Drive flow development and automation scripting, and use strong debugging and problem-solving to overcome complex design challenges.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 71,400 - 102,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Deep expertise in microprocessor physical design with strong focus on Power, Performance, and Area (PPA) optimization.
  • •Hands-on experience in SoC physical design implementation, signoff, and TapeOut.
  • •Proven leadership experience managing physical design teams of 10+ members.
  • •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • •Proficiency with industry-standard EDA tools such as Synopsys FusionCompiler, PrimeTime, StarRC, Cadence Innovus, Mentor Graphics Calibre, and Apache Redhawk.
