Key Responsibilities

  • •Participate in the successful operation and management of the town planning team.
  • •Lead and assist on key planning policy projects, including supporting local authority policy and strategy development and coordinating local plan evidence studies and strategic growth work.
  • •Provide strategic planning advice to client and internal teams and represent the organisation to develop and manage relationships with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders.
  • •Ensure projects are delivered successfully on budget and within programme timelines while coordinating multi-disciplinary teams for delivery.
  • •Oversee planning policy team deliverables and implement quality assurance, compliance, and health and safety principles.

Key Requirements

  • •Significant relevant experience leading and contributing to planning policy and strategy development in a consultancy or public sector role.
  • •Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
  • •Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or an equivalent professional body.
  • •Client focus with good interpersonal skills and a collaborative working approach.
  • •A business development mindset with demonstrable experience winning work and developing relationships with existing and new clients.
