Key Responsibilities

  • •Champion a safety-first culture by identifying hazards and ensuring adherence to EHS protocols.
  • •Develop complex spherical optics on precision CNC generators, high-speed polishers, and centering machines.
  • •Optimize machining strategies (toolpaths, feeds/speeds, work holding) to improve quality and throughput.
  • •Diagnose and resolve machining issues and support root-cause analysis and corrective actions for quality deviations.
  • •Analyze process performance using SPC and capability studies; define process specifications and control limits with data-driven decision-making.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Optical, Materials, or related field).
  • •Minimum 10+ years of experience in optical fabrication process engineering or a related manufacturing environment.
  • •Hands-on experience with optics fabrication, including CNC machining, polishing, and surface inspection.
  • •Proficiency in root cause analysis (RCA) and lean manufacturing tools.
  • •Knowledge of metrology and quality assurance in optics manufacturing, with strong communication and teamwork skills.
