Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the design and development of the next iteration of the global platform for cross-border payments and international fund collections.
  • •Take full accountability for the services you build, from initial system design through deployment and production health.
  • •Lead product initiatives end-to-end with Product and Operations stakeholders to deliver technical solutions to financial business requirements.
  • •Mentor and guide less experienced engineers, promoting high engineering standards, thorough code reviews, and continuous learning.
  • •Collaborate with globally distributed engineering leaders and teams to design robust, modular services and components.

Key Requirements

  • •Design, build, and maintain complex highly available software systems at scale with strong clean-code, design patterns, and testability (unit/integration testing).
  • •Hands-on payments/fintech/banking experience, including transactional consistency, ledger systems, multi-currency handling, or external financial integrations.
  • •Proficiency in a major backend language and experience with distributed architectures, asynchronous messaging, and relational databases.
  • •Experience building standard APIs and integrating external systems, with monitoring and alerting/observability practices.
  • •Communicate complex technical ideas clearly in English to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
