Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the Safety team and manage daily operations, ensuring compliance with Arbeitssicherheit, Gesundheitsschutz, Brandschutz and Umweltschutz.
  • •Advise and support leaders and employees on all safety aspects, including workspace redesigns and process improvements.
  • •Direct disciplinary and professional supervision of your team, manage staffing plans, and mentor colleagues for their development.
  • •Develop, implement and maintain emergency concepts and reporting systems; create analyses and safety KPI reports with management.
  • •Collaborate with external bodies (employers' liability insurance association, local authorities, fire department, occupational physician, works council) and coordinate inter-departmental safety projects.

Key Requirements

  • •Completed technical studies or a comparable technical education with a technician, engineer, or master craftsman qualification.
  • •Qualification as Safety Specialist (ASiG), Safety Engineer, and Fire Safety Officer, with three or more years of experience in safety.
  • •Knowledge of environmental protection management; ability to stay current with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • •Willingness to further qualify in HSE topics (e.g., waste, emissions, hazardous materials) with Zalando.
  • •Strong communication skills in German and English; ability to train and mentor colleagues and interact with cross-functional teams.
