Key Responsibilities

  • •Spray paints vehicles and specialized equipment using enamel, lacquer, and vinyl materials for protection and appearance.
  • •Apply specialty coatings and camouflage finishes, including mixing and adjusting paints for correct finish and thickness.
  • •Read and interpret technical manuals and work requirements to select paint types, colors, and markings; apply stencils, silk screens, and decals for legibility and accuracy.
  • •Operate, maintain, and clean spray equipment and tools (including nozzles/restrictors) and perform surface preparation and visual inspections before painting.
  • •Follow all safety requirements and provide guidance to lower-grade employees on proper procedures; obtain a Forklift license upon request.

Key Requirements

  • •3-5 years of experience in vehicle painting.
  • •High school Diploma/GED or Normal Apprenticeship/equivalent training and experience.
  • •Ability to follow instructions from Technical Manuals, Depot Maintenance Work Requirements, and Technical Bulletins to determine paint types, colors, and markings.
  • •Must be able to operate and maintain spray equipment safely and effectively, including maintaining proper air pressure.
  • •May be assigned to work 2nd Shift based on workload and operational requirements.
