Job Summary

Conduct construction inspection for road and bridge projects, examining and interpreting plans, schedules, and quantities. Support senior project inspectors with surveying and material sampling/testing, and verify work is performed safely and according to project plans and specifications. Perform standardized and non-standardized tests and compile, analyze, compute, and process field data. Uphold ethical decision-making and company policies while maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma.
•3 years of road and bridge construction inspection and testing experience (or equivalent education/training/experience); Engineering Interns may qualify without experience.
•Ability to attain specified NCDOT certifications within 90 days +/- (or as class scheduling allows).
•Ability to keep accurate records, compute field data, and read/interpret construction plans.
•Ability to perform field testing activities and uphold workplace safety and compliance requirements.
