Key Responsibilities

  • •Promote a culture of zero harm by providing visible safety leadership, proactive risk management, and ensuring compliance with Anglo American SHE policies and legal requirements.
  • •Contribute to global/regional/BU supply chain strategies and translate them into operational plans, priorities, targets, and resource requirements; partner with asset leadership and align supply chain activities to business objectives.
  • •Accountable for end-to-end supply chain operational performance at asset level by leading supply chain excellence, operating model, and continuous improvement; identify and remove barriers impacting service delivery, inventory performance, and business continuity.
  • •Define and execute strategies for materials planning, inventory, warehousing, and logistics; optimise inventory levels while achieving working capital targets; ensure warehouse inventory accuracy, security, and availability; drive OTIF performance and planning routines.
  • •Provide commercial and technical input into sourcing strategies, supplier evaluations, contracts, and supplier relationship management; manage related operational budgets and resolve complex supply chain escalations with stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • •Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • •Postgraduate qualification equivalent in Supply Chain Management/Procurement or a relevant discipline on NQF8.
  • •SA Driver’s Licence.
  • •8–10 years of end-to-end Supply Chain Management experience including sourcing/procurement, materials planning, inventory, warehousing, and logistics.
  • •Advanced knowledge of inventory optimisation, demand forecasting, materials planning, and working capital management, plus warehousing and logistics operations knowledge, including safety/governance/risk/compliance and contractor management.
