Key Responsibilities

  • •Build and run core services for Rates trade booking and trade storage, owning technical design through production readiness and operational support.
  • •Design and implement high-availability, high-throughput distributed systems with resilience patterns, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
  • •Create auditable and controlled transactional workflows, including secure-by-design practices such as versioning, traceability, access controls, and data retention.
  • •Develop service interfaces and integrations using gRPC/Protobuf and streaming patterns (e.g., HTTP SSE) to connect upstream/downstream platforms.
  • •Drive engineering culture through design/code reviews, automation, observability, incident learning, and mentoring engineers while partnering with product stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years of Java backend development experience as an individual contributor with mentoring/leadership.
  • •Strong microservices architecture experience with proven ownership of production systems.
  • •Expertise in distributed systems concepts (concurrency, idempotency, failure handling, consistency models, resiliency patterns).
  • •Hands-on API/integration experience using gRPC and Protobuf, including streaming/real-time update patterns such as SSE.
  • •Strong data and operational skills: PostgreSQL (or similar RDBMS), CI/CD, monitoring/alerting (e.g., Grafana/Prometheus/ELK), and secure engineering practices (audit logging, access controls, secrets handling).
