Key Responsibilities

  • •Contribute to the ClickHouse core database by analyzing and optimizing performance across major engine components.
  • •Extend and add performance tests using real-world or synthetic datasets to prevent performance deterioration over time.
  • •Support the Support Engineering team by debugging advanced performance issues, including participating in on-call rotation and external community support channels.
  • •Collaborate with other teams to assess the performance and reliability impact of new features.
  • •Engage with the open-source community by resolving issues, reviewing and finishing PRs, and answering questions via community channels.

Key Requirements

  • •Solid professional software development experience in C++, including Unix/Linux systems.
