Job Summary

Lead advanced technology hardware work for the Radar Mechanical Design Department’s Sensor Development team. Own product vision and strategy alignment to customer/program milestones, ensure technical integrity across the IPT, and serve as a technical point of contact to senior counterparts. Support capture of new business and influence roadmaps, drive continuous improvement through FRACAS and Failure Review Boards, and direct a multi-disciplined engineering team while managing domestic travel.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist in management of product vision, strategy, and goals to align to programs/customers milestones and facilitate conflict resolution.
•Ensure technical integrity and engineering execution across the IPT and other functions to meet cost, schedule, and technical requirements.
•Act as technical point of contact with senior customer counterparts and internal senior program management/engineering leadership.
•Support new business capture through proposal writing and influence technical/product line roadmaps reflected in program planning and execution.
•Drive positive change in production via Failure Review Boards, FRACAS and continuous improvement; engage subcontractors/partners; direct a team of multi-disciplined engineers.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a STEM degree with 12 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 10 years’ experience.
•Experience in a technical leadership role across the development lifecycle, including systems and sub-systems.
•Experience leading trade studies, system development and design, requirements development and management, system integration and test, and production support.
•Experience developing work plans and driving execution in an IRAD early development environment through production.
•Experience leading complex engineering teams and rapid prototyping from design through customer demonstrations.
