Key Responsibilities

  • •Schedule health screening appointments for refugee clients within 30–90 days of arrival and coordinate follow-up immunizations.
  • •Plan and provide transportation support and connect clients to public transportation and community resources.
  • •Provide orientation to the U.S. healthcare system, including prescription instructions, use of primary care vs. emergency room, and Medicaid navigation.
  • •Coordinate with health screening clinics for referrals and work with medical providers to help clients follow their plan of care.
  • •Maintain accurate client files and case notes, conduct regular client follow-ups, and support insurance/redetermination and public benefits navigation.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 23 - 24.25 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •Mature and personal Christian faith and ability to affirm Christian identity and core beliefs.
  • •Valid drivers license, access to a reliable vehicle, and ability to pass MVR standards; willingness to drive a 15-passenger van.
  • •Ability to navigate the American health care system including Medicaid.
  • •Demonstrated compassion, patience, cross-cultural sensitivity, and strong mediation skills.
  • •Proficiency with MS Office; fluency in an additional language (Dari, Pashto, Arabic, Swahili, French, or Spanish) is strongly preferred.
