Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the single model of record for the Memphis campus, including load flow, short circuit, coordination, arc flash, motor starting, harmonics, transient stability, and EMT studies.
  • •Create and maintain sitewide power budgets with monitoring and metering for mission-critical assets to improve visibility and efficiency.
  • •Perform detailed electrical power system analysis using one-lines/three-lines, studies for relay settings, and maintain as-built model updates after commissioning.
  • •Feed interconnection studies, relay settings, arc-flash labels, and battery storage sizing from the same model (no shadow models).
  • •Ensure compliance with NFPA 70/70B/70E, NESC, and IEEE standards while supporting hands-on construction, energization, and operations.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or another engineering discipline.
  • •3+ years of experience in power systems design, analysis, and studies for high-power, high-voltage systems.
  • •Experience performing load flow, short-circuit, arc-flash, coordination, and transient stability studies.
  • •Familiarity with industrial power systems up to 345 kV, including components like switchgear, transformers, BESS, VFDs, motors, distribution systems, UPS/emergency backups, and relaying/meters/protective devices.
  • •Professional Engineering license or intention to actively seek a PE license.
