Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage the assigned test stands calibration program and resolve issues with electrical hardware, software systems, and data system hardware.
  • •Execute troubleshooting on engine and APU test systems hardware and software.
  • •Perform calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of precision instrumentation and related sensors/instruments.
  • •Maintain and troubleshoot data system hardware including PCs, operator interfaces, local networking, audio/visual systems, data acquisition hardware, and engine control equipment.
  • •Respond to trouble calls for test stand data system, test cell wiring, and system controls including PLCs, valves, solenoids, and relays.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (or related field) with significant engine/test cell/powerplant background and 8+ years relevant experience (or advanced degree with 5+ years).
  • •Experience with engine test cell operations, control systems (or equivalent), and familiarity with engine/APU test organization and special test equipment.
  • •Strong electronics background, including analog/digital circuits, circuit-board troubleshooting, and soldering.
  • •Interpretation of test stand and engine electrical schematics.
  • •Working knowledge of engine/APU test systems operation in a dynamic, high-impact, multi-discipline environment.
