Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and manage the fire engineering team, Defence workload management, project delivery and performance.
  • •Oversee delivery of large, complex Defence projects to meet regulatory requirements and client expectations.
  • •Collaborate with multi-discipline teams and national leadership to ensure projects are on time, within budget and high quality.
  • •Lead Performance & Review process by setting SMART goals and conducting staff appraisals in line with AECOM processes.
  • •Mentor staff toward Chartership and contribute to staff development plans.

Key Requirements

  • •Extensive experience in a large, multi-disciplinary environment.
  • •Comprehensive knowledge of UK standards and guidance documents (e.g., ADB, BS 9991/9999/9992, HTM 05-02, BB100).
  • •Comprehensive knowledge of Defence standards (JSP 80, DIFS).
  • •Proficiency in fire engineering tools (FDS, SFE) and evacuation modelling software.
  • •Membership in relevant professional bodies (e.g., MIFireE) and/or NFPA CFPE; BEng/MEng or MSc in fire science/engineering.
