Key Responsibilities

  • •Own and drive the technical design and architecture of data pipelines, data models, and data platform components.
  • •Set and enforce engineering standards across the team, including code quality, testing, observability, security, and documentation.
  • •Lead technical discovery, design sessions, and code reviews, providing constructive feedback and driving resolution of technical debt.
  • •Evaluate emerging tools and technologies in the GCP ecosystem and beyond, and recommend pragmatic options aligned to the data strategy.
  • •Mentor and coach engineers, partner with Data Governance and cross-functional teams on data quality, access control, and privacy-by-design.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong experience in data engineering in a senior or lead-level technical role.
  • •Deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Composer (Airflow).
  • •Advanced Python and SQL skills, with the ability to write production-grade code and perform rigorous code reviews.
  • •Proven experience designing and building scalable data pipelines for batch and streaming/event-driven patterns.
  • •Strong data modelling experience (dimensional modelling, data vault, or equivalent) and orchestration using Dataform (or similar).
