Key Responsibilities

  • •Own Wise’s overall success in Thailand by defining vision, leading country strategy, and improving product offering and customer experience.
  • •Serve as resident Board Director for Wise’s licensed Thailand subsidiaries, preparing board materials and ensuring governance standards meet regulatory and Wise global expectations.
  • •Maintain regulatory and risk/compliance accountability by partnering with global teams to ensure local compliance through robust product design, systemic controls, and oversight.
  • •Lead operational leadership for day-to-day operations, including operational resiliency via Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and oversight of SLAs with partners and service providers.
  • •Drive commercial growth and GTM by managing partner negotiations, licensing strategy and acquisitions, product prioritization and launches, and acting as the chief spokesperson for brand advocacy and public relations.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience leading Thailand payments, fintech, or related industries, with direct customer/revenue growth and market/product ownership.
  • •Proven track record liaising with the Bank of Thailand or other regulators, including navigating license applications, approvals, regulatory reporting, or audit remediations in Thailand.
  • •Deep understanding of the Thai payment landscape, including PromptPay, clearing rails, card networks, and payments & FX regulations.
  • •Native fluency in written and spoken Thai, plus excellent professional English communication for presenting to regulators and partners.
  • •Experience leading/building a team and influencing without authority, with a data-driven approach to defining metrics and growth opportunities.
