Job Function: IT Operations (Systems/Network Admin)

Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide advanced engineering and application management support for day-to-day operation of a Level 4 surface movement and guidance control system
  • •Establish and manage an onsite software configuration management system
  • •Analyze system logs and initiate actions to ensure system high availability
  • •Carry out simulations and tests for real jobs in test environments for AGL control and monitoring
  • •Support installation and remote troubleshooting of CMS/ASMGCS application and provide first-level technical assistance for software bugs

Key Requirements

  • •Hands-on experience configuring, implementing, and administering systems/servers, and application and network devices
  • •Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix with troubleshooting skills and familiarity with Unix shell scripting
  • •Experience with OSI network model, Ethernet, and TCP/IP networking, plus network components such as switches, routers, and firewalls
  • •Ability to write and understand Perl scripts and support systems upgrades, package installation, jump-starting, and configuration
  • •Database knowledge (especially MySQL) and experience with Apache Tomcat and LDAP; Red Hat/Solaris and CCNA/CCNP are a plus
