Job Summary

Operate asphalt plant controls to weigh, heat, mix, and deliver specified quantities of aggregates and asphalt cement. Conduct pre- and end-of-shift inspections, follow OSHA/MSHA and company safety policies, and monitor gauges and machinery to meet processing specifications. Maintain proper dryer heat using thermostatic controls, assist with plant equipment maintenance, compile basic production/maintenance reports, and coordinate with the plant crew to keep production efficient.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate asphalt plant controls to weigh and deliver aggregates and asphalt cement to the dryer and mixer for loading into trucks.
•Partner with plant crew members to keep production running efficiently.
•Maintain dryer heat by adjusting thermostatic controls and ensure proper material flow.
•Monitor gauges, dials, and machinery operation to ensure conformance to processing specifications.
•Answer telephone/radio and take/input orders; assist with plant maintenance and compiling production/maintenance reports.

Key Requirements
