Job Summary

Onsite as part of the Nelson Stud Welding & Fastening team, you’ll troubleshoot, maintain, modify, and repair stud welding systems and customer equipment. You’ll support customers and sales representatives with technical issues, perform in-house training and demonstrations, weld samples, and complete cycle counts, shipping/receiving, and delivery tasks as needed. The role also includes boiler outage service work and keeping a safe, clean work environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Troubleshoot, maintain, modify, and repair Nelson stud welding systems, including power sources, accessories, and field diesel units.
•Troubleshoot, maintain, modify, and repair customer equipment.
•Assist customers in person and via telephone with equipment, accessory, and technical problems.
•Assist sales representatives with equipment, accessory, and technical problems.
•Perform in-house training and demonstrations; weld samples; and handle required boiler outage service, cycle counts, and shipping/receiving/deliveries as needed.

Key Requirements

•Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
•Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees; lift/move up to 50 pounds frequently.
