Job Function: Field Service, Maintenance & Skilled Trades

Key Responsibilities

  • •Complete general mechanical inspections and repairs, including brake jobs, exhaust system jobs, front-end alignments, ball joints, air conditioning, and maintenance of auction vehicles.
  • •Perform general maintenance tasks such as oil and fluid changes, tire changes, vehicle check overs, and follow all safety procedures.
  • •Conduct frame and motor vehicle safety inspections (body, frame, damage, transmission, differential, powertrain) and complete required safety checklists.
  • •Complete pre- and post-sale inspections including test drives, and pull vehicles into the shop and test drive as needed for diagnosis.
  • •Provide guidance and assistance to apprentice technicians; may assist with sourcing parts, providing quotes, and completing work orders (parts and labor entries).

Key Requirements

  • •Red Seal Automotive Service Technician Certification (or 310S in Ontario) required.
  • •Experience repairing and servicing mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems/components across a variety of vehicles.
  • •Previous dealership experience.
  • •Experience with OEM diagnostics.
  • •Valid Drivers’ License and basic computer skills with ability to use a smartphone.
