Job Summary

Build Arango’s first dedicated developer advocacy program, owned from scratch and reporting to the Chief Product Officer. Help developers go from install to working GraphRAG apps in under 30 minutes by creating reference applications, quickstarts, and sample repos. Publish benchmarks and run evaluation harnesses to communicate where GraphRAG beats vanilla RAG. Teach in public via posts, talks, workshops, and live builds, and close the loop with product through specific feedback.

Key Responsibilities

•Create reference applications, quickstarts, and sample repositories that solve end-to-end GraphRAG/knowledge-graph problems.
•Publish honest benchmarks and report where GraphRAG excels and where vanilla RAG outperforms it, using evaluation harnesses (e.g., GraphRAG-Bench).
•Teach in public through technical posts, talks, workshops, and live builds, prioritizing depth over volume.
•Engage with GraphRAG and knowledge-graph communities and relevant AI engineering meetups and conferences (online and in person).
•Close the loop with product by delivering specific, prioritized developer feedback to the product team.

Key Requirements

•Build and debug real, non-trivial applications with hands-on production experience in LLM applications and retrieval (RAG pipelines, embeddings, chunking, evaluation).
•Strong Python skills plus proficiency in at least one of TypeScript/JavaScript, Go, or Java.
•Comfort running talks, workshops, or live-coding, and handling tough questions confidently.
•Proficiency deploying with Docker and Kubernetes.
•Have experience with graph databases/knowledge graphs/GraphRAG (or building knowledge graphs by hand) and familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, and MCP.
