Job Summary

Research and analyze emerging cyber threats to applications, APIs, AI/LLM systems, and cloud-native environments. Build proof-of-concept exploits, detection techniques, and automated security validation frameworks to strengthen F5’s Application Delivery and Security Platform (ADSP). Collaborate across security research, threat intelligence, engineering, and product teams to validate protections, develop reusable tools and scripts, and create technical demos and customer-facing content.

Key Responsibilities

•Research emerging cyber threats targeting web applications, APIs, AI/LLM applications, cloud workloads, Kubernetes, and enterprise infrastructure.
•Analyze attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures using MITRE ATT&CK and MITRE ATLAS, plus OWASP security top-10 frameworks.
•Develop proof of concept exploits, attack simulations, and threat emulation scenarios to reproduce real-world threat conditions.
•Design, implement, and maintain automated security validation frameworks and detection tools to support threat detection, testing, and mitigation.
•Build reusable tools, scripts, demos, and technical content; participate in code reviews and contribute to repeatable security testing methodologies.

Key Requirements

•7+ years of professional experience in software development, testing, security validation, or security engineering (preferably in a Linux environment).
•Strong knowledge of application security, API security, cloud security, and AI/LLM security.
•Strong understanding of OWASP Web Application Top 10, OWASP API Security Top 10, and OWASP LLM Top 10.
•Proficiency in Python for automation, tooling, validation, and security research.
•Experience with threat intelligence and frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and MITRE ATLAS, plus offensive security tools like Burp Suite, Nmap, Metasploit, ffuf, or sqlmap.
