Job Summary

Instrumentation & Electrical Designer role supporting small facility-based projects in an active chemical manufacturing plant. 3–6+ years industrial design experience preferred; must have Chemical Manufacturing experience. On-site in Bishop, TX, contributing to instrument and electrical designs, schematics, PLC/DCS layouts, and field design work within Wood’s capital projects group.

Key Responsibilities

•Meet or exceed the company’s safety standards.
•Comply with all company procedures, engineering practices, and other standards.
•Work closely and interact with project team members to achieve project success, including Plant Engineering Groups, Internal and External Design Contractors, Construction Contractors, and Maintenance Resources.
•Read and fully understand all documents which describe the scope of work, including vendor drawings, one-lines, electrical plans, conduit schedules, wiring schematics, and loop diagrams.
•Provide Instrument & Electrical designs for capital and maintenance projects.

Key Requirements

•3-6+ years of industrial experience in the design field.
•Chemical Manufacturing or related industry experience is required.
•Proficiency in MicroStation is required.
