Key Responsibilities

•Communicate technical knowledge regarding design and manufacturability of printed circuit boards (PCBs) and circuit card assemblies (CCAs).
•Support the Product Development Engineering team through the application of tools to predict manufacturability performance prior to the program commitment of the design.
•Generate PCB/CCA standard notes, PreCAD data package creation, request mentor parts library elements (symbols and cells), and support generation of alternative design solutions to meet or exceed manufacturability and affordability goals.
•Perform related technology selection and trade-off analysis, producibility assessments, and interface with other design stakeholders and fabrication/assembly suppliers; support product transitions between suppliers.
•Work in multi-discipline integrated product development team environments and be prepared to travel as needed.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience
•At least two years of Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) or Printed Wiring Board (PWB) shop process/manufacturing engineering experience
•Ability to interpret PWB/CCA technical data packages
•Familiar with Valor NPI automated DFM tool suite
•Must be familiar with IPC-6012, IPC-2221, J-STD-001, IPC-7351 design and end product performance standards
