Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage a mixed caseload of EL and PL Intermediate/Multi Track claims from instruction through to conclusion.
  • •Assess liability, causation and quantum and provide clear, commercially focused advice to clients.
  • •Support development of junior team members through supervision, mentoring and coaching, aligned to competency frameworks.
  • •Develop and implement effective case strategies, identifying evidence-gathering needs and areas for further investigation.
  • •Draft legal documentation (e.g., defences, witness statements and pleadings) and attend hearings, trials and settlement conferences in person or remotely as required.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven experience handling Employers’ Liability (EL) and Public Liability (PL) Intermediate and/or Multi Track claims.
  • •Experience supervising or supporting development of colleagues in a legal environment.
  • •Strong mentoring and coaching skills to develop and support team members.
  • •Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills, including strong negotiation and client relationship management.
  • •Strong technical legal knowledge with practical litigation experience and proficiency using case management systems and Microsoft Office.
