Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee complex HTS and ECCN classification for aviation aftermarket parts and ensure regulatory governance for U.S. Customs rules.
  • •Serve as the subject matter expert for 19 CFR and corporate policies, ensuring import/export activities meet legal standards.
  • •Act as primary liaison for customs brokers and subcontractors to drive accountability and ensure timely clearance.
  • •Use SQL and Skywise to mine supply chain data, build PowerBI dashboards for leadership KPIs, and leverage AI/ML to reconcile requirements with operational data.
  • •Develop VBA macros/scripts to automate manual tasks (e.g., entry validation and duty calculation) and perform internal audits to detect anomalies and prevent penalties.

  • •4+ years of experience in US import compliance and/or import operations (or education plus related experience).
  • •Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations (19 CFR), including HTSUS and partner government agency requirements.
  • •Proficiency in Microsoft PowerBI to build data models, automate audits, and visualize supply chain risks.
  • •Ability to read aircraft engineering data (drawings, maintenance manuals) to determine accurate trade classification.
  • •Preferred: 2+ years’ experience in tariff classification.
