Job Summary

Serve as a hands-on QA specialist for data validation and testing across database objects and data pipelines. Write maintainable SQL for profiling, validation, and troubleshooting; define data quality rules; and build test plans, cases, and acceptance criteria for ETL/ELT and DB changes. Execute regression and performance checks for critical queries and reconcile source-to-target results, while partnering with data teams and mentoring junior QA/data testers.

Key Responsibilities

•Validate and test database objects across Snowflake, SQL Server, and/or Oracle.
•Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria for data pipelines and DB changes.
•Create and apply data quality rules and test logic for completeness, accuracy, and uniqueness.
•Run performance/regression checks for critical queries and ETL jobs to detect regressions from schema or logic updates.
•Perform source-to-target validation for batch and ELT processes, including record-level reconciliation and checksum/hash comparisons.

Key Requirements

•8 years of experience focused on data validation and testing of database objects.
•Ability to write clear, maintainable SQL queries for validation, profiling, and troubleshooting data issues.
•Experience creating test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria for data pipelines and database changes.
•Define data quality rules (completeness, accuracy, uniqueness) and implement associated test logic.
•Experience with source-to-target validation for batch and ELT processes, including record reconciliation and aggregate/hash comparisons.
