Job Summary

Maintain and troubleshoot plant electrical and instrumentation systems (480VAC to 24VDC) in a 1st shift role at DSM-Firmenich in Princeton, NJ. Repair process and packaging equipment, diagnose PLCs, HMIs, VFDs and related controls, perform instrumentation setup/calibration, and document activities in CMMS/Excel while ensuring safe, compliant operations and reliable production at scale.

Key Responsibilities

•Maintain and troubleshoot plant electrical distribution panels
•Install, maintain, and troubleshoot all 480vac to 24vdc plant electrical systems and Motor Control Centers
•Use Electrical, Instrumentation & Control, Mechanical and Operational skills to be able to troubleshoot and repair process and packaging equipment (fillers, conveyors, drives, packers, palletizers, etc.)
•Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo drives and other electronically controlled equipment
•Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Melter Toledo scales

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent with 3–5 years of electrical and instrumentation experience.
•Strong communication skills and ability to perform under shifting priorities.
•Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, ISA, GMPs, and safe practices in chemical facilities.
•Trade school, military, or industrial EI&C education and ISA Level 1 certification preferred.
•Skilled with 480VAC systems, electrical tools, schematics, and integrating electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation troubleshooting.
