Key Responsibilities

•Design and implement backend services for high-availability computations of commissions and discounts for a marketplace. Incorporate AI tools into the daily development cycle and help standardize new tooling across the team.
•Lead backlog grooming, refinement, and debt-priority discussions, and communicate progress without heavy follow-ups.
•Define architectures and identify technical or process dependencies with other teams to enable robust solutions. Collaborate across the initiative to ensure scalable, secure, and observable systems.

Key Requirements

•3+ years of Java experience with Spring Boot or similar
•Experience using AI assistants (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) to aid engineering work
•Knowledge of event-driven architectures and asynchronous processing
•Strong understanding of design patterns and applying them appropriately in backend systems
•Ability to design and implement scalable services (e.g., commissions and discounts) with high availability and transactional auditability
