Key Responsibilities

  • •Build ingestion pipelines from financial platforms, CRMs, providers, and internal services using Kafka streams, event-driven processing, and batch imports.
  • •Design core data models for clients, households, firms, assets, products, advice, and evidence to produce clear, reusable datasets.
  • •Implement data contracts, schema evolution, and boundary validation/reconciliation/quality monitoring so downstream systems don’t silently break.
  • •Provide lineage, provenance, and auditability for regulated and evidence-heavy workflows with visible, testable transformations.
  • •Ensure production reliability with retries, replay, backfills, late-arriving data handling, and incident-driven improvements to contracts and checks.

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years building and operating production data pipelines or data platforms with ownership once live.
  • •Strong SQL and data modeling judgment to identify sources of truth and build reusable datasets for real consumers.
  • •Strong command of Python (or comparable depth in another language used for data processing).
  • •Experience with batch and event-driven processing, including Kafka and orchestrators like Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect, plus transformation tooling like dbt.
  • •Understanding correctness under failure: schema design, data contracts, idempotency, replay, backfills, late-arriving data, and automated validation/quality checks.
