Job Summary

Join the Roads team in the London & South East region to design and deliver highway schemes. You’ll prepare designs and specifications using Civil3D and AutoCAD, develop civil designs to DM Roads & Bridges standards, and support site visits. You’ll work across multiple UK offices, advancing Graduate Engineers, apprentices, and smaller schemes with growing responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

•Prepare designs and specifications in accordance with Design Manual Roads Bridges (DMRB).
•Develop designs using Civil3D and AutoCAD, with additional skills in OpenRoads Designer/MicroStation beneficial.
•Deliver work packages with scope to move up to managing smaller schemes.
•Undertake site visits to inform designs.
•Provide support to Graduate Engineers and Apprentices within the design team.

Key Requirements

•A degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
•Proficiency in designing with Civil3D and AutoCAD.
•Highways design experience aligned with Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) and TSRGD/Traffic Signs Manual.
•Familiarity with BIM environments; knowledge of OpenRoads Designer and MicroStation would be advantageous.
•Deliver designs and specifications with scope to move up to managing smaller schemes; ability to plan and cost estimate work packages.
