Key Responsibilities

  • •Own quality for your area by taking accountability for work products and breaking complex issues into manageable testing strategies.
  • •Drive cross-team collaboration to evaluate options, align on quality risks, and support decision-making.
  • •Create clear, durable documentation including test plans, test results, bug reports, and knowledge articles in tools like Confluence/Jira/Slack.
  • •Improve execution and outcomes by scoping and staging testing into milestones, prioritizing high-value coverage early, and avoiding scope creep.
  • •Support automation as applicable and troubleshoot effectively by isolating issues across software, hardware, networking, and environment factors.

Key Requirements

  • •Hands-on experience with Linux and Python, comfortable using the command line and creating/debugging scripts.
  • •Experience testing embedded devices and hardware/software interactions.
  • •Understanding of networking technologies such as Wi-Fi, cellular, and Z-Wave (or similar protocols) and their impact on behavior, performance, and reliability.
  • •Exposure to C and C++, including reading code and recognizing common defects in collaboration with engineers.
  • •Strong troubleshooting and communication skills, including log analysis, reproduction isolation, triaging issues, and clearly documenting test work.
