Key Responsibilities

  • •Air Monitoring: Conduct real-time air (control) monitoring before, during, and after Class A (friable) asbestos removal to verify the effectiveness of containment measures.
  • •Clearance Inspections: Perform thorough visual inspections of removal areas, waste routes, and surrounding vicinities following asbestos removal.
  • •Clearance Certification: Issue formal written Clearance Certificates once satisfied that an area is free of visible asbestos and air fiber levels are below 0.01 fibers/mL.
  • •Asbestos Identification & Auditing: Carry out site surveys, identify asbestos-containing materials (ACMs), and prepare or update Asbestos Management Plans and Asbestos Registers.
  • •Regulatory Liaison: Act as a technical expert for clients, contractors, and regulators ensuring all documentation like Asbestos Removal Control Plans (ARCPs) meets legal requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •Demonstrated experience in asbestos removal industry practices, typically evidenced by work on at least three to five Class A removal projects within the last five years
  • •A current Asbestos Assessor Licence issued by a state regulator
  • •Completion of CPCCDE5001 or a tertiary qualification in Science, Building Construction, Occupational Health & Safety, or Environmental Health
  • •Experience working for extended periods of time in remote locations in challenging conditions
  • •Excellent communication and problem solving skills
