Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead development of new Hot Aisle Containment product platforms through Eaton’s structured NPD process.
  • •Design and validate structural and sheet metal containment systems, including doors, panels, support structures, and mounting interfaces.
  • •Create 3D CAD models and production drawings (Creo preferred) and perform engineering analysis (structural calculations, FEA, CFD).
  • •Define and execute verification and validation testing to ensure performance and compliance.
  • •Partner with Product Management, Sales, Manufacturing, suppliers, and customers to deliver cost-effective solutions and drive standardization, quality improvements, modularization, and cost-reduction.

Key Requirements

  • •BS in Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience, or an associate’s degree with advanced technical training and 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • •Proficiency in 3D parametric CAD modeling (Creo/Pro E strongly preferred).
  • •Direct experience designing data center hot aisle containment systems (support structures, doors, panels, sealing solutions).
  • •Strong background in structural steel and sheet metal design, including load path analysis and connection design.
  • •Experience interpreting architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and familiarity with lean manufacturing and supplier collaboration.
