Key Responsibilities

  • •Interview applicants, obtain references, and recommend placement in a well-defined occupation as part of HR support.
  • •Document and process security clearance actions, including obtaining information required to continue clearance actions and taking action on files affecting eligibility.
  • •Retrieve specific files from vault storage and manage file screening (paperwork, phone calls, etc.) to determine required actions and appropriate forwarding.
  • •Communicate directly by phone or e-mail with applicants/incumbents, officials, contractor customers, and security community members.
  • •Process work in management-established priority order and keep management apprised of workload status.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent.
  • •US Citizenship is required and the candidate must be able to pass and obtain a DOE Q Level clearance.
  • •3+ years of typing and word processing skills, plus effective reading comprehension and detail recognition.
  • •Strong communication skills to obtain information needed to continue clearance actions and to annotate files professionally.
  • •Ability to work with office-specific filing systems, recognize priorities, and exercise sound judgment within the scope of clearance-processing activities.
