Job Summary

Join an expanding Building Structures team delivering end-to-end structural design for major multi-disciplinary projects. You’ll develop innovative, sustainable structural solutions from concept to detailed design and construction, resolve technical issues using independent judgement, and manage processes for timely, cost-effective risk and technical resolution. You’ll also support tender and business development activities, contribute to commercial positions on projects, and mentor junior team members working toward Chartership.

Key Responsibilities

•Own and lead the structural design process from inception through handover to the client.
•Develop sustainable structural designs for a range of UK and international multi-disciplinary projects.
•Provide specialist structural advice and design solutions on sustainable design, net zero carbon, MMC, and DfMA.
•Manage project processes to resolve technical issues and risks in a timely and cost-effective manner.
•Participate in tender bids, contribute to fee agreement and commercial position, and mentor junior team members.

Key Requirements

•Degree or HNC/HND qualification in a relevant discipline.
•Chartered or working toward Chartership (IStructE or ICE).
•Solid experience in structural engineering design across all materials.
•Detailed working knowledge of national codes and standards.
•Experience using structural design software such as ETABS, RAM Structural System, Tekla Structural Designer, and Tedds.
