Job Summary

Lead the growth of the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform in a customer-facing pre-sales role for Financial Services. Partner with sales and work with customers, product, post-sales, and partners to identify use cases, design reference architectures, and run proof of concepts. Provide technical leadership on distributed data systems and integrations with cloud services and third-party applications, while promoting open source projects across communities.

•Provide technical leadership to evaluate and adopt Databricks.
•Consult on big data architecture, execute proof of concepts, and validate integrations with cloud services and third-party applications.
•Build and present reference architectures, how-tos, and demonstrations for customers.
•Promote open source projects (Apache Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, Unity Catalog) through meetups, conferences, and webinars, and travel to meet customers in territory.

Key Requirements

•10+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales or consulting role, preferably solving data engineering and big-data analytical challenges.
•Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems.
•Comfort programming and debugging in at least one of Python, SQL, Scala, Java, or R.
•Experience building solutions with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
•Experience with data engineering and data warehousing technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka; SQL, OLTP/OLAP/DSS).
