Lead the architectural direction of Fieldguide's AI agent systems and the intelligence layer, defining standards, observability, and reliability frameworks at scale. Own cross-cutting platforms, drive scalable LLM infrastructure, and mentor engineers while partnering with Engineering, Product, and Design to shape the AI roadmap. Translate long-term vision into concrete technical strategies and ensure enterprise-grade reliability and velocity across teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Define and drive the architectural direction for Fieldguide's agentic systems and intelligence layer, setting standards and driving high-leverage bets across the organization.
•Own the most complex, cross-cutting product areas end-to-end and design agent orchestration and retrieval systems for enterprise-grade complexity.
•Lead the evolution of Fieldguide's LLM infrastructure: models, prompts, guardrails, and feedback loops, including observability and reliability frameworks.
•Prototype, validate, and harden novel approaches before sharing with the broader team and translate long-term product vision into concrete technical strategies.
•Partner with Engineering leadership, Product, and Design to shape the AI roadmap and create reusable platforms that multiply team velocity across the org

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 240,000 - 310,000 annually

•Mastery of retrieval architectures, RAG, vector databases, and embedding pipelines
