Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and execute commodity strategies for raw metals (e.g., stainless steel, aluminum, titanium) to drive cost reduction, technology development, quality improvement, and supply resilience.
  • •Deliver quality materials and/or parts at the right cost with end-to-end accountability for raw metals sourcing.
  • •Lead RFI/RFQ/RFP and strategic sourcing processes for raw metals, including supplier continuity, risk management, and cost negotiations.
  • •Partner with Engineering and suppliers to influence technical design specs and product/manufacturing requirements, including prototype needs and build milestones.
  • •Negotiate commercial agreements and manage supplier performance metrics (delivery, quality, cost, innovation) while serving as primary escalation for the commodity.

Salary: USD 166,000 - 220,000

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • •5+ years of experience in supply chain commodity management of raw metals and/or sourcing engineering.
  • •Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • •Ability to relocate to be onsite in Costa Mesa, CA, if not already local.
  • •Experience acting as a sourcing expert for raw metals, including managing supplier relationships and sourcing processes.
