Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the Field Verification platform’s technical strategy, architecture, and roadmap end to end, setting direction for a domain without dedicated engineering leadership.
  • •Move the platform from keep-the-lights-on operations to a deliberate, prioritised development roadmap.
  • •Lead and grow the existing cross-functional team and expand the organisation as scope grows, including defining engineering processes and quality metrics.
  • •Build operational efficiency capabilities such as trip and route optimisation, task allocation, and capacity management for field officers.
  • •Own client-facing integration surfaces (APIs/webhooks and back office) and deliver a native mobile experience to support field officers, while enabling multi-country expansion.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of overall software engineering experience with substantial hands-on production engineering and strong backend depth (backend environment: Java and Spring Boot).
  • •At least 5 years of engineering leadership experience, including managing Engineering Managers.
  • •Credibility across backend, web, and mobile, with experience building platforms used by multiple internal business units.
  • •Experience translating operational requirements into engineering solutions, including building for compliance-grade, auditable data.
  • •Strong pluses include location/geospatial data and map integrations, route/trip or delivery optimization, and experience with KYC/identity verification platforms.
