Key Responsibilities

  • •Work on roadway, traffic, and drainage designs and calculations for highway transportation projects.
  • •Develop design packages for highway improvement projects, including MOT cross sections and traffic control plan elements.
  • •Create signing/pavement marking design and traffic signal design as applicable to the project scope.
  • •Produce roadway design elements such as typical/traffic cross sections and profiles.
  • •Support drainage design including storm drain design, culvert analysis/design, hydrology, ditch design, bridge deck drainage, and temporary drainage.

Key Requirements

  • •BS in Engineering plus 2 years (junior) OR 6 years (mid) OR 10 years (senior/task lead) of related experience, or demonstrated equivalency.
  • •Roadway CAD design capability for roadway, traffic, and drainage projects (CAD Designer roles).
  • •Design/build or alternative delivery project experience, including experience or interest in complex interstate highway design.
  • •Ability to perform roadway design calculations such as Superelevation, SSD/DSD, and acceleration/deceleration lanes, plus MOT design elements.
  • •Preferred: EIT certification or PE license.
