Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform licensed DOT inspections and preventative maintenance inspections, including light and follow-up repairs.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems in a shop environment.
  • •Independently determine required parts and coordinate with the Shop Parts Department and approvals with the Shop Manager.
  • •Complete Repair Orders and DOT forms, documenting findings and uploading pictures using company standards and devices/Karmak.
  • •Maintain a clean and safe work environment and complete required safety training, while supporting shop service trucks and inspections.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination such as additional degree/certification or 5 years’ experience).
  • •Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain a Driver Qualification File.
  • •ASE T8 (PMI) certification or ability to obtain within 18 months.
  • •Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills for performing inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs.
  • •Ability to lift, bend, climb, stand, and walk for long periods and perform moderately heavy labor.
