Design, implement, and improve secure, scalable software systems in Visa’s fintech environment. Key Responsibilities

•Collaborate with stakeholders to determine requirements for product components and incorporate feedback into future designs.
•Translate functional requirements into system designs, communicate component interactions, and ensure alignment with business needs and timelines.
•Design and develop product components, refine code plans, and lead design reviews to ensure completeness and adherence to requirements.
•Create complex test plans, identify test gaps, and proactively address defects to minimize customer impact.
•Respond to incidents during on-call rotations by troubleshooting complex issues and assisting with incident response and resolution.

Key Requirements

•7.5+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
•Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Distributed Systems, or related field.
•Extensive Java experience (including concurrency, multithreading, performance optimization) and Spring/Hibernate.
•Deep knowledge of distributed system architectures (microservices, event-driven, service mesh) and distributed consensus/coordination (Raft, Paxos, Zookeeper, etcd).
•Experience building highly available, fault-tolerant systems and working with distributed data, caching, messaging/streaming, and observability.
