Job Summary

Develop technical and leadership skills through a mentored, rotation-based learning program in a cement manufacturing facility. Help improve operating costs, efficiencies, environmental impact, and product quality while participating in process, maintenance, and electrical/automation engineering activities, including programming plant PLC and DCS systems. Complete operational support training and contribute to testing and performance measurements to support reliable, efficient plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

•Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
•Develop understanding of cement manufacturing and propose changes to improve operating costs, efficiencies, environmental impact, and product quality.
•Participate in process activities across manufacturing departments including quarry, production, maintenance, shipping, environmental, safety, and quality.
•Participate in process and maintenance engineering activities including mass and heat balances, equipment inspection, preventative maintenance, reliability engineering, and capital projects.
•Participate in electrical and automation engineering including programming plant PLC and DCS systems, energy efficiency studies, and performance testing/measurements.

Key Requirements

•Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
•Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
•Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred.
•Co-op/internship experience is a plus.
•Previous work experience is preferred, but not required.
