Key Responsibilities

  • •Monitor and identify relevant federal funding opportunities across agencies such as CMS, HRSA, CMMI, and HHS rural health sub-agencies, maintaining a rolling calendar of deadlines and milestones.
  • •Analyze NOFOs, RFPs, RFIs, and solicitation documents to assess eligibility, competitiveness, and strategic alignment and recommend whether to pursue opportunities.
  • •Write and develop compliant grant narratives and proposal materials (e.g., statements of need, program design, logic models, evaluation plans, sustainability sections) and translate technical/policy details into clear storytelling.
  • •Develop and coordinate required attachments and budgets (including budget narratives, timelines, organizational capacity statements, letters of support, and federal forms such as SF-424 family forms) and ensure formatting/page-limit compliance.
  • •Prepare and submit applications through Grants.gov and other portals, track registrations/eligibility (e.g., SAM.gov/UEI), and support post-award reporting, progress updates, and no-cost extension requests.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 45 - 55 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years developing successful grant applications, RFP responses, or strategic proposals with demonstrated success in federal healthcare funding or procurement opportunities.
  • •Working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid program landscapes, including value-based payment models, health equity initiatives, and rural health delivery challenges.
  • •Direct experience writing successful applications to CMS, CMMI, HRSA, state Medicaid agencies, or comparable healthcare procurement/proposal opportunities.
  • •Proven experience navigating Grants.gov and SAM.gov and federal application systems, with strong understanding of federal compliance requirements (e.g., 2 CFR 200 / Uniform Guidance).
  • •Excellent writing/editing/storytelling skills and strong project management to manage multiple deadlines.
